NVIDIA's Jetson AGX Thor platform has achieved a sevenfold increase in generative AI performance since its August 2025 launch, marking a significant leap in edge computing capabilities. Continuous software optimizations have unlocked this acceleration, building upon the initial 5x improvement over previous models.

The platform now supports cutting-edge AI models like Llama and DeepSeek shortly after their release, enabling rapid developer experimentation. Nvidia has integrated advanced techniques including speculative decoding and NVFP4 quantization from its Blackwell GPU architecture, dramatically accelerating inference workloads at the edge.
